Small groups teach something 1:1 cannot
In a cohort of three to six, a student hears a second correct method and a wrong method explained out loud. Deciding why one approach is quicker — or where a peer's reasoning went wrong — is genuine mathematical work, and it is hard to reproduce in a one-to-one session.
This works when students are close in level and course, which is why we form cohorts deliberately rather than filling seats. It is a poorer fit when a student has significant prerequisite gaps; those are better repaired privately first.
