Building a better way to access high-quality mathematics instruction.
Think-Nth was founded on a simple belief: the quality of mathematics instruction available to a student should not be determined by where that student happens to live.
Exceptional mathematics educators exist across the world. Think-Nth exists to connect their expertise to the students who need it — through a managed, intentional learning experience.

From the Founder
Think-Nth has always been about more than providing tutoring.
Read the full letterThe thinking behind Think-Nth's managed approach.
Through years of teaching mathematics, I have seen how much the right instruction can change a student's relationship with the subject. Sometimes the barrier is an unfinished foundational skill. Sometimes a student has learned a procedure without understanding the mathematics behind it. Sometimes they simply need another explanation, more time, or an educator whose way of thinking connects with their own.
Technology has changed what access can mean — a student no longer has to be limited to the educators who happen to live nearby. But access alone is not enough. I did not want Think-Nth to become another directory where families search through profiles and hope they choose well. I wanted a company that takes responsibility for the experience: understanding what a student needs, selecting the right educator, defining learning priorities, and making progress visible.
The goal is not to help a student get through only the next assignment. It is to help students understand mathematics deeply enough to recognize structure, approach unfamiliar problems with a method, ask better questions, and become increasingly independent learners.
That is the standard I want Think-Nth to continue building toward.
“I wanted a company that takes responsibility for the experience — understanding, matching, planning and making progress visible.”
Why Think-Nth Exists
Access should not mean compromise.
Making mathematics instruction more accessible should not mean sacrificing subject expertise, personalization, instructional quality, or accountability.
Understand Before Matching
Students are not interchangeable, and neither are mathematics educators. Course level, prior learning, curriculum, academic goals, learning needs, communication style, and educator expertise all matter.
That is why Think-Nth uses a managed matching process rather than asking families to navigate an open directory alone.
Teach Mathematics for Understanding
Following a familiar procedure is not the same as understanding mathematics.
Strong instruction should help students see relationships, explain their thinking, select appropriate strategies, learn from errors, and eventually transfer what they know to unfamiliar problems.
Expand Access to Expertise
Digital learning makes it possible to connect students with mathematics educators far beyond their local communities.
Think-Nth is building a global faculty so that geography becomes less of a barrier to finding the right mathematics expertise.
More than a tutoring platform.
Think-Nth is being built as a managed mathematics learning company. That means bringing several parts of the learning experience together rather than treating a tutoring session as an isolated hour.
Protecting the quality behind the experience. As Think-Nth grows, my role is increasingly less about teaching every student myself and more about building the academic system that allows excellent mathematics instruction to scale responsibly — faculty selection, instructional standards, educator matching, and the learning and progress systems behind every program.
- 01
Mathematics Expertise
A faculty selected around mathematics knowledge, teaching ability, curriculum experience, professionalism, and fit.
- 02
Personalized Matching
Students and programs are matched intentionally rather than assigned only according to who is available.
- 03
Structured Instruction
Learning priorities give instruction direction while allowing educators to respond to what students demonstrate during the learning process.
- 04
Visible Progress
Session documentation, communication, and progress indicators help make the learning process more visible to students, families, and school partners.
- 05
Thoughtful Technology
Technology should strengthen excellent human teaching—not replace it. Think-Nth uses digital tools where they can improve access, practice, communication, personalization, and understanding.
Expertise should be able to travel.
Because the learning experience is designed to be online, Think-Nth can serve students and recruit mathematics educators across borders. Becoming global means understanding different curricula, respecting local educational contexts, managing time zones thoughtfully — and holding one standard of quality everywhere.
But the central idea should remain unchanged:
Make high-quality mathematics learning more accessible without making quality less important.
