International Curriculum Mathematics
International examination boards assess differently from U.S. coursework. We match students with tutors experienced in the command terms, mark schemes and paper formats their board actually uses.
Mathematics first, with explicit attention to how the exam board awards method and communication marks.
The syllabus you sit determines the mathematics you need
IB Analysis and Approaches, A-Level Pure, and IGCSE Extended all cover trigonometry — and assess it in genuinely different ways. IB wants command-term-appropriate reasoning and a Toolkit/IA argument; A-Level wants sustained multi-mark structured method; IGCSE wants accuracy and clear working against a mark scheme.
Preparing generically for 'trigonometry' therefore under-prepares a student for their own paper. We teach to the specification, mark scheme and command terms your student will actually face, using past papers from that board.
- Command terms and mark schemes unfamiliar
- Past papers attempted without technique
- Time-zone friction with local tutors
- Transitioning between curricula mid-course

What support looks like in practice
Explore the session, communication and progress rhythm without reading the whole page.
Sessions are scheduled around the student's local school day and worked from their board specification and past papers.
- 0–10 min
Marked-work review
Where method marks were lost on last week's questions.
- 10–30 min
Specification topic
Teaching to the syllabus statement, not a generic version of the topic.
- 30–50 min
Past-paper questions
Board questions worked with mark-scheme wording.
- 50–60 min
Marking together
The student marks their own work against the scheme so the standard becomes internalised.
